Located on the southern portion of Coastal Oregon sits Bandon, a popular vacation destination that is celebrated for its premier golf courses, unique attractions and the annual Cranberry Festival. Golf enthusiasts enjoy Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, which features 36 holes of golf atop a bluff that overlooks the spectacular Pacific coast. An extraordinary attraction is the West Coast Game Park, where visitors meet and pet hundreds of free-roaming, hand-raised animals, including lions, leopards, camels, bears and zebras. History buffs enjoy the Bandon Historical Society Museum, which follows the community's past, from the Bandon fire of 1936 to cranberry farming industry. Every September, visitors flock to the town to attend the popular Cranberry Festival. Activities include a parade, the Blessing of the Harvest ceremony, a golf challenge and plenty of live music, food and crafts.
